Coaching Confidentiality Policy

Effective Date: October 2025
Applies to: The Adell Foundation & Lamad University Coaching Programs

1. Purpose

The Adell Foundation and Lamad University are committed to creating a safe, trusting, and ethical environment for all clients, students, and participants engaged in coaching, mentorship, and training programs.
This Confidentiality Policy ensures that all personal, professional, and sensitive information shared during coaching sessions remains private and protected.

2. Definition of Confidential Information

“Confidential Information” includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal or family information shared during coaching sessions
     
  • Emotional, spiritual, or financial details discussed in confidence
     
  • Business or ministry plans and goals shared by the client
     
  • Client contact information, notes, or written assessments
     
  • Any identifying or sensitive data disclosed during group or individual coaching
     

All coaching-related discussions, notes, and records are considered confidential and will not be shared without written consent, except as outlined in Section 4 below.

3. Confidentiality Commitment

Coaches, mentors, and facilitators agree to:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information.
     
  • Refrain from sharing client names, details, or identifying information outside the coaching relationship.
     
  • Securely store written notes, forms, and digital files in password-protected or locked systems.
     
  • Discuss client progress or insights only in supervision, mentoring, or training contexts without identifying personal details.
     
  • Use all case examples or testimonies only with written consent.
     

4. Exceptions to Confidentiality

Confidentiality may be broken only when required by law or when there is a clear risk of harm, including:

  • Threat of harm to self or others
     
  • Suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult
     
  • Legal or court-ordered disclosure requirements
     
  • When disclosure is necessary to defend against claims of misconduct
     

If confidentiality must be broken, the coach will make every effort to inform the client before disclosure.

5. Group Coaching and Training Environments

Participants in group sessions, workshops, or classrooms are expected to:

  • Treat all shared information as private and confidential.
     
  • Avoid discussing another participant’s story, opinions, or challenges outside the group setting.
     
  • Respect differing beliefs and maintain a spirit of compassion and non-judgment.
     

Violation of group confidentiality may result in removal from the program or denial of certification.

6. Data Protection

All client records, coaching forms, and session notes are maintained in accordance with data protection standards and may be stored electronically or in physical format under secure conditions.
Digital communications (email, text, or video) are kept confidential to the fullest extent possible using secure systems.

7. Acknowledgment

All coaches, trainees, and participants must acknowledge and agree to uphold this confidentiality policy before beginning coaching or certification training.

By signing or enrolling in any Lamad University or Adell Foundation coaching program, participants affirm their understanding of and agreement to maintain confidentiality and uphold the ethical standards of professional coaching.

Since 2011 Adell Foundation has been instrumental in distributing over 1 Million Pounds of food with our Family Matters Food Programs, Helped thousands of students ( including our homeless student program) with school supplies and personal hygiene items, certified over 140 Life Coaches with our partnership with Lamad University, and help prevent homelessness for thousands of individuals and families.  


 Adell Foundation is a charitable organization empowering people to seek a broader future, by helping communities through education and economic solutions. Helping individuals become an entrepreneur, assisting seniors, youth, and others in everyday life.  



 

Adell Foundation acts as a fiscal agent/sponsor for several community organizations and new nonprofits. We offer technical assistance, board development training, and certificates to educate their self-sufficiency program clients. 

Under our umbrella, our partner organizations are authorized to use our Cooking Matters and FDIC Money Smart Curriculum for the clients in their programs  Adell Foundation currently has partner/umbrella programs in the following states: Colorado, New Mexico, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, and Florida. All of our partners are trained and certified to  to use our resources, curriculum, and receive technical assistance, and Adell Foundation acts as their fiscal sponsor/agent.

Individuals and Organizations that have programs that  impact the community. Must not be Philanthropy only. Must have measurable programs.

Excellence in Ministry Outreach

Ministries that have programs that impact the community. These can be programs at your ministry but must be open to the public and not just for church members. Must show proof that non members benefit from your program.

Excellence in Community Activism and Local Government

Community Activists or persons involved in local Government  that have  developed programs, brought awareness to social issues, or were instrumental in providing direct services that impact the community.
